Highlights From Our 2018 Classes:
THURSDAY features classes that are essential for beginners,
but also fun for those with experience!

Intro To Scenic Stamping
Thursday, April 19th at 9-10 am
Complimentary for attendees as part of the retreat!
Non-attendees can purchase this with the following class for a 3 hour introductory series. Prerequisite for all other scenic classes, unless you are proficient in masking and scene building. Includes all of the basics needed to make informed purchases and nice scenes. Participants must bring their own detail scissors.

BEGINNER prerequisite to all other classes.

Thursday, April 19th (approx. 10am-noon)
This beginner level class is the follow up to our Intro class. It is technique intensive, including masking, scene building, basic reflection, layering and glazing inks, framing and the tonal applicator.
3 hours of instruction for non-attendees offers all the basics, and is a technique intensive foundation for scenic stamping.

Skill Level: Beginner
Participants must have a basic tool kit AND the tonal applicator stamp.

Moose Make It Take It, (self directed)
For Attendees Only
$3.00 each includes pre-cut papers, envelope, ribbon. Stamps available for participants to use. Verse and glitter not provided. This was a favorite from the Expo, and was featured as one of our Stamp Club Kit projects.

Thursday, April 19th, 2:30-4:30 pm
Evening On The Lake

In this class you mask, build scenes, drag your inks and insert highlights, adding to the menu of techniques learned today! This is actually an intermediate class, that is beginner friendly.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Participants must bring a basic tool kit.

Thursday, April 19th, 7-9pm (approx.)
Stipples & Whispers (2 scenes included)
This super easy and fun class features whisper inks and stipple brushes. This allows you to create wispy, delicate scenes! You will create this scene and one more using the same techniques and colors.

Skill Level: Beginner
Participants must bring their own stipple brushes and a basic tool kit.

Friday, April 20th, 9:00-10:30 am
Beavers & Hut

Features masking, scene building, dragging and blending ink, reclaiming/creating highlights and framing. This was from our February Stamp Club Kit. Participants must have a basic tool kit.

Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Beginners are welcome to participate.

Friday, April 20th, 2:00-4:30 pm (approx.)
Sun Rays, 2 cards
In this class you will create a scene using masking, color it and then add somewhat translucent sun rays. You will make 2 scenes, one using semi-gloss cardstock and the second using high gloss paper. Your scenes will not be done today, as the rays will not be dry for quite some time, so we may revisit them through the retreat to finish them. We recommend spray sealing anything using the sun ray, fog, mist technique, as those elements never will become permanent without it. Participants must bring basic tool kit.
Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Beginners are welcome to participate.

Friday Evening, April 20th, 7-9 pm (approx.)
Winter Storm Series, Homeward Bound
You will make this scene and one more item using the same technique. In this class we focus on a more monotone technique. This scene features a winter storm brewing, and a cowboy trying to get home ahead of it. We see some blowing snow, dark clouds, cold and dramatic. The blowing snow is a similar technique to the sun rays, and will dry slowly, so we may work with this a bit more before the retreat ends. Participants must bring a basic tool kit.

Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Beginners are welcome to participate.

Saturday, April 21st, 2:00-4:00 (approx.)
Mermaid at Sunset, PLUS
In this class you spend a lot of time blending your colors, and working with detailed masking on the mermaid. We will also include one more tropical item! Participants must bring a basic tool kit.

Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Beginners are welcome to participate.
